You can’t buy motivation, but you CAN buy music. So it’s sort of like the same thing.  If your No Small Life could use a little motivation in the exercise department, then you’ve come to the right place today my friend.

If you’re a regular around these parts, then you know I LOVE ME A GOOD PLAYLIST.  To date we’ve given you 2 Date Night playlists (1, 2) and the Perfect playlist to beat the rainy day blues.  

 

But today, I wanted to feature for your listening pleasure a Workout Playlist!  The weather is getting nicer #yay and it’s the perfect time of year to throw in those ear buds and go for a run…or a walk…or sweat it out in the gym. Whatever gets the job done.

 

For me, I mostly workout at home. Some Running. Some DVD workouts. Some Exercise Apps. And most recently, YouTube workouts! It’s so a thing and there are a bajillion.  But more on that later.

The one common denominator in all of those workouts is motivating music.  I’m not the girl who can listen to podcasts or (gasp) nothing when I workout.  I NEED something driving and fun to keep me going and focused.  How about you?

 

Well good news for your No Small Life, if we’re wired the same, then consider this playlist the proverbial kick in the tushy to get AND KEEP yourself moving!  Also, extra bonus if you’re willing to engage in a little mental challenge for yourself, try ONLY allowing yourself to listen once you lace up those tennis shoes!  The craving to hear your new favorite song just could be what puts you over the edge to actually take the initiative to exercise.  And if you need a little more help making it happen, check out these 6 tips I shared at the beginning of the year.

Because nothing says Workout Playlist like a remix

3. Boomin’-TobyMac

Toby consistently puts out such great music doesn’t he?  He is a fan favorite. I could have a workout playlist that’s solely TobyMac…and actually…#lightbulbmoment

4. My Body-Young the Giant

Do you know this one? It’s. So. Fun. With lyrics like, “my body tells me no, but I won’t quit…” it’s pretty much made to workout to.

5. Get Up-Blanca (featuring Lecrae)

Blanca and Lecrae together? Come on. Plus, she UN-apologetically uses the word “werk,” which you will totally do once you listen 😉

6. Let us Love-Needtobreathe

I love me some needtobreathe. This song takes about 20 sec to really pick up and once it does, it doesn’t stop. Such a fun driving beat.

7. Everyday is a Miracle-Group 1 Crew (featuring Rachel Lampa)

At least one Group 1 Crew song has grazed all of my workout playlists for at least the last 8 yrs.  This one is a bit “bubble gum pop”-ish, BUT just imagine it running (no pun intended) through your earbuds on a sunny day. Warning: Clear the road. You MAY run a little faster.

8. Move (Keep Walkin)-TobyMac

You pretty much knew I’d include Toby twice right? The lyrics alone qualify this song as “workout perfection.”

9. Keep Goin’-Group 1 Crew (featuring Capital Kings)

This is not the first time you’ve seen Group 1 Crew on my workout playlist…and it won’t be the last (insert maniacal laugh). Plus the intro to this song sounds like old school video games and that will make you happy when you’re sweating like a beast.

10. The River-Jordan Feliz

I heard this one on the radio and added it to the list immediately! Fantastic beat and great lyrics.
