Guys, guess what? We are celebrating 17 years of marriage this week! I know, we married at 8, what can I say π
In all seriousness, I cannot believe it has gone so fast. It seems like just yesterday we were stressing about very important marriage things like seating charts and the ideal recessional song. (Which BTW was the Rocky theme song, “Gonna Fly Now,” and all kinds of awesome. )
In honor of our anniversary we wanted to share with you our 5 favorite relationship posts.
See in 16 years we’ve learned quite a lot. We’ve learned a lot through marriage. We’ve learned a lot through ministry. We’ve learned a lot through becoming relationship coaches. But most of all, we’ve learned a lot through failing.
We’ll be the first to admit to having basically failed in most of the areas that we blog about. Just because even when we know what it takes to be better, doesnβt mean we get it right all the time. We still married humans.
But failure, if you’ll allow it, can always be one of your greatest teachers.Β
Failure is rarely the end, it’s how you respond afterwards that counts.
We have learned from our failures and now we hope you can be better for it.
These are principles we have tried, prayed through, fought about, loved and eventually put into practice over the past 17 years.
And I mean this in all sincerity, we’re a way better team now than when we first started out. Your life and marriage is No Small thing in the eyes of the one who destined it.Β By God’s design and grace, we know you can grow stronger in love with each passing year.
Grab a coffee, or you know, a Matcha green tea, whatever floats your boat and enjoy!
