Now of course there will be occasions that you take off your coat, but if you’re out and about on your day off, do you ever even unzip the thing?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been running errands on my day off and thought, why did I even think about the shirt and accessories I’m wearing. The only thing the majority of the world will see me in today is my coat! 🙂
This fall we talked about 14 new ways to wear a classic fall trend and today we’re talking Winter Coats. Whether your style is classic, trendy, girly or edgy, I’ve got you covered. AND, for under $100 I might add!

So, if you’re needing an update to your winter wardrobe, don’t let lack of funds make you feel frustrated and small, there are LOTS of great options out there!
Here we go:
First up is this Steve Madden Bouclé Fit & Flare Coat. The shape is so flattering. I just love everything about it from the asymmetrical buttons to the over-sized hood. It comes in 4 different colors but this green and grey tweed were my favorites!

It comes in navy and black and I’m kind of digging the navy. With this coats vertical lines and cinched waist, you get the warmth of a puffer without looking like the Michelin Man 🙂

Combining leather and wool is very on trend right now. Plus, with the notched collar and great zipper detail this coat is sure to up your cool factor a little bit. 😉 It’s a gorgeous piece that will also double as a Matrix costume at your next party. Bonus.

This Kensie Coat is a little more of a “splurge” at $150, BUT you know it will go on sale after the holidays! Plus, this is going to be one warm coat- down filled, over-sized collar with a hood! It’s like they made it for us mid-west girls. And the great color and belt keep it from venturing into the “everyone else on the planet has this coat” category.

If your winter coat style is a little more classic/elegant, these next few are just for you. And this first one, this is from Target. I know. The Leopard print and fur collar are actually much more versatile than you would think. Of course it can easily go with all your dressy attire, but what about tossing it over a pair of skinny jeans, graphic tee and heels? Whole new level for a mere $55. As if we needed another reason to go to Target.

And if you’re craving for a classic trend lands you a little closer to the 80’s, what about this burgundy number from Forever 21. The bow and the peplum definitely hit a specific style niche, but for under $60, you can afford to play.
